Thank you for your appeal. You were banned for multiple instances of grief, and various instances of mob killing.
Let’s start with the firstinstance. During our Christmas present hunt, which when occurring it is understood that ONLY presents are to be broken, you decided to dig underneath walls at a player’s village, which was not necessary to obtain presents during the hunt. All presents were placed in areas that did not require blocks to be broken to reach them. As this village was at a set warp, it was obvious that this village was claimed. Despite this, if you were questioning the village’s availability, you should have asked a staff member to help you. They would have checked the area via logs and let you know that it was claimed. It is YOUR responsibility to confirm that a village is claimed or unclaimed before you modify any blocks, items, or mobs in it. It is not acceptable here at WinterCrest to break builds that are claimed or built by a fellow player, nor acceptable to break abandoned builds.
Let’s discuss the next instance, which is similar to the last. You broke blocks and killed mobs in a village that was claimed by a player. Although you claim that you were unaware that the village was claimed, there were various signs placed around the village that said “Claimed by Mandy,” AKA player Mandyrine, as shown in Figure One in the link below:
Along with these signs, it was very clear that a player had claimed the village, as they had built around and near the village, with chests and buildings, along with decor placed around the village. If you were unsure that the village was claimed, you could have, again, asked a staff member, who could have checked the area for you via the database. As stated before, it is YOUR responsibility to ask a staff member if you are unsure if a village is claimed or not.
Although you claim to not have known that the village was claimed, I do not buy this, as you griefed builds that were unrelated to the village. These were builds built in the village by a player that could not have possibly spawned in a standard village by themselves.
Along with these instances of grief, you killed villagers in the claimed village, as shown in the link below in Figure Two. Killing of owned mobs is not allowed and is a bannable offense.
Let’s discuss the final instance. As you have claimed to have accidentally killed a cat, I do not believe this either. As shown in Figure Three in the link below, you dug underneath a locked door in a player’s home to access the inside. You then proceeded to kill the player’s cat. Grief of others’ builds is NOT tolerated and is also a bannable offense.
After taking a look at all of this evidence, I gave you a chance to appeal truthfully. However, you did not reply truthfully in your response, as you failed to plead guilty to the various instances of grief that were deliberately committed. Even if you were unaware of a village’s availability, you are still held accountable for you actions. Killing owned mobs is not permitted; regardless of whether or not you considered it an accident, you are, as I said before, still held accountable for your actions.
Due to the lack of sincerity and honesty in your appeal, I do not believe that you are a good fit for our server. Your appeal has been denied. I wish you luck in finding another server.
